Lights with-in...

lights with-in... several items from mom's shop. Unique is her in so many ways... the lights with-in actually do shine.

By the Sea -Si's Mom's booth at York Village Market Place in York Village,  Maine Ah it's the afternoon upon the bay the boats  are coming back in from their "play". The sky is full of light, it's still so bright.  I see the glistening upon the little bay as the waves caress the tops of each other just a little "flutter.  Little diamonds upon the sea oh how you sparkle up at me.  The delight I get just your brilliant light reflecting back into the sky little diamonds of mine.  I watch the boats pass by sometimes I wave "hi" others just let go by.  The schooners and big yachts I dream of being on going places I've never been before, school dreams for sure.  I still love to just sit upon the beach with the sand beneath my feet and watch my diamonds as they shimmer in the day's light glistening with the sway of the wind and each little thing.  A boat ride when the sun is high is sweet feeling the sea air upon my lips and upon my cheek.  The salt I can taste as I smile and lick my lips.  My hair is free whipping all around me as I try to tie it up.  I sit on the bow cross legged or have them hanging over the edge catching the chilled water as we go along.  I'm not there I am free floating with the tide and wind as one.  Aware of nothing or no one at times just riding free upon the sea being me and then I am back again but that moment was awesome.  Approaching the dock again the boys are coming in their working on the dories in the cove dad said bub saw some herring coming in one of the coves near Isle Au Haut.  The schooners are back setting anchor for the day or night checking out our little town of light.  Sons, fathers, and granddads too fishing all together it's a family crew.  Watching them learn and grow hoping they will prosper and know right from wrong learning all the time.  Lessons learned along the way passed tests each day.  The ways of the sea still so many mysteries.  She captivates me watching , listening, feeling rather it's morn, noon or night it's still such a beautiful site.  One of God's gifts precious gems glistening for all to see that don't cost a thing just to be noticed is the key.  To look, listen and learn from "gems" all around us each day say a prayer of thanks today. pod2

This particular item :  Home by the Sea is special to me made by more then just the wood, paint and rocks that now are the garment around thee.  It's the hands that held it so carefully turning it and forming it first for one use a bouy to hold a trap the ole wooden ones that u no longer see-si'.  Now it's use mom has created a unique object of beauty.  One that u can look at and see-sea a view of and imagine the feel of the sun rising or setting on u and the breeze blowing on your skin by the shore...gazing out at the boats as they come and go from their "play" for the day.  Now it's your turn to see-si' what u will in mom's unique folk art.  Enjoy *;)x=pod2
