Oaks Security wants to make sure you have the answers you need to feel comfortable with the purchase of a security system or central station alarm monitoring. We identified a few below but we know we can't put them all on here because it would take up too much space. The best way is for you just to send us the question and we'll respond. Isn't that the first opportunity for you to see our service?

Reviewing the system you need and what you can afford is critical in making sure you are satisfied in the end. We won't waste your time or money as they are both tight these days. review the questions below and if yours isn't there, please drop us a line.

Do you install alarm systems or just monitor them?
We install both residential and commercial burglar alarm systems. We can have them monitored centrally 24/7 and dispatch police/fire as needed, or you can set it up to call your house or phone too.

How much do you charge for monitoring an alarm system installed by another company?
Whether Oaks installs it or another company, our charge is typically $20 per month with no contracts. That's right, no contracts. If you require high speed internet or GSM cellular communications we charge an additional $5. That's it.

What type of video cameras do you recommend?
There are some common applications that require specific cameras. If you want to see images in pitch dark then you require an infrared camera but if there is lighting or you need a camera in an office during the day, then most high resolution cameras will work. The main difference is the lines of resolution (the higher the better), and whether it needs to work in the dark. We also install Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) cameras which automatically move to different views.

How does the association notify you of tenant changes?
For your convenience, we accept changes by fax or email. We also provide a change request form to simplify the process. Simply fill out the areas to change and send it to us. In certain situations, we will also accept critical changes over the phone as long as we receive written confirmation within next couple business days.

Will you send notification that the changes were made?
For customers who prefer to keep a local file of changes made, we are more than happy to send a correspondence back to the primary contact. Just let us know how you would like to handle the communiqué.

What entry system manufacturers do you program?
We program Sentex/Chamberlain, DoorKing, Elite and SES telephone entry / gate entry systems. If you have a different manufacturer which needs programming, we will work with you to acquire the appropriate software. Within 30 days, we will notify you that we are ready to begin making changes to your property.

How will you program the system?
The entry systems use a standard outside phone line to call residents/tenants. We use that same telephone number to make the changes. All updates and backups are made via phone line from our office. This keeps your costs low because we will not need to travel to your location.

Do you service a broken gate or entry system?
At this time, we do not perform field service but have created partnerships with local qualified gate companies who are more than happy to provide you a quote to service your gate. Many calls for servicing are related to programming mistakes at the entry system. As part of our service to you, we will keep the entry system lasting as long as possible by ensuring the programming is accurate. Make sure you're on our mailing list for information on maintaining a safe and reliable entry system.

Will we receive an overview of the entry system information once it's programmed?
