Red Devil New for 2011, this was the first place yielding wheat in the 2010 Michigan Wheat Trials. Similar to Red Ruby in appearance but slightly shorter and a day or two earlier. Red Ruby Bred at MSU, Red Ruby is a red bearded cross derived from Pioneer 2552 X 2737W. Good powdery mildew resistance, 62½ lbs. test weight on our farm and high on the yield trials for performance. Moderately susceptible to scab but very winter hardy. This is a very attractive variety with uniform head height. Seed size for 2011 is 12,400 avg seeds per pound. $15.00 per 60 lb unit, bag or bulk bag.

Sunburst Red Wheat Sunburst is a mid-maturing non-bearded variety with short straw and excellent straw strength to prevent lodging. In the 2008 Ohio Wheat Performance Results, Sunburst had an average yield of 88.8 bu./acre. Sunburst was the 2nd place yielding wheat in the 2009 MSU wheat trials. Along with its yielding ability, Sunburst has excellent test weight, excellent winter hardiness, and a very good disease package including stripe rust resistance. 	All of our wheat varieties are PVP patented. Once purchased from us, you may save these varieties for sowing the next year's crop. These varieties may not be propagated and sold to others as planting seed.
