Where is Highline?

The geographical area served by the Highline Historical Society is Highline, an area extending on the north from the Seattle city limits, to the south almost to the Federal Way city limits, and from the east (roughly) by I-5 to the west to the shores of Puget Sound.

The 32-square miles of communities known as Highline house a growing population of 150,000 people. It is the largest geographical area in Washington state without a regional heritage or history museum.

The Highline area has a student population of 24,000, of which more than 50% qualify for the government-subsidized free lunch program, and speak more than 70 languages. The current public school population is around 17,000, with the remainder in private, parochial and home schools.

Who lives in Highline? WE do!
